Description

By participating in our deliciously sweet yet bitter tour, you will not only taste the delights of chocolate, but also the authentic beers of Belgium.

As you may know, this country is well known for its tasty and distinguished chocolate, which is appreciated all over the world, as well as for the varieties of beers it offers, the brewing of which dates back to the 12th century.

Our two-and-a-half-hour tour, which focuses on these unique Belgian features, starts at one of Europe's first shopping arcades; the legendary Royal Galleries, located in the centre of the city.

From there, we will set off to discover the birthplace of the Belgian praline, where, of course, you will have the opportunity to taste it while our expert guide reveals its origin, production, and the history that precedes it.

Next, we'll head to the Grand Place, but on the way, we'll satisfy our cravings with another deliciously sweet treat: an exclusive Belgian bonbon, in one of the city's most renowned chocolate shops, where we'll learn how it's made.

As we still have to taste the most pleasurable, such as the truffle, we will do so at the end of our chocolate tour, in one of the most outstanding and deliciously exquisite chocolate shops in the country. There we will taste the handmade truffle with the innovative pink cocoa.

Once our sweet tooth is satisfied, our body will ask for a refreshing drink of themuch-lauded Belgian beer, which since 2017 has been considered, and only Belgian beer, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. It is for this reason that Belgium is known as the land of beer.

Afterward, we will have a cool, authentic Trappist beer in one of its most emblematic bars. There are only 12 varieties of Trappist beer in the world, 5 of which are Belgian. We will tell you about how it is brewed and its main ingredients.

Our tour will end with a tasting of another typical Belgian beer, explaining how it is elaborated and the different varieties and brands offered in the land of beer.

No doubt that after participating in our tour you will have the necessary knowledge to know where and which chocolates you should take with you, and you will be able to navigate your way through Brussels with ease when it comes to choosing the right bar and the right beer; you will be an expert!
